I’m Chelsea, the mom behind the books.
I love finding realistic children’s books that resonate with kids and I spend way too much time looking for them. I’ve read through thousands of children’s books, and only add the best ones that are Montessori aligned to these lists!
Montessori aligned books just means that the books are based in reality and include mostly real life scenarios or topics (they can be fiction or non-fiction). I loved going to a Montessori school as a toddler and when I had my son I knew I wanted to incorporate Montessori philosophy.
I’ve spent a lot of time reading children’s books while working with kids! My first job was babysitting, in college I was a private nanny while earning my Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. I’ve spent time teaching in the Speech Therapy Clinic and worked as an Assistant Teacher in a Montessori pre-school classroom. In 2023 I became a mom!
When I started building our home library, I was disappointed I couldn’t find any comprehensive lists of Montessori aligned books for kids. That’s why this blog was created!
